This is our annual KAMIKOCHI(上高地) & Yatsugatake Plateau Summer Trip/Hike & Activities(1 night 2 days) at beautiful deeper Japan Alps, Chubu Sangaku National Park in Nagano prefecture. ☆Kamikochi: 1500m elevation, All route is well maintained flat base, total 2 ~ 6 hours, depends on each capacity and preference, can choose on the day. (Beginners - Intermediate level),
☆For advanced hikers, as options, if prefer, Mt.Yakedake or Mt.MaeHodaka is also possible in Kamikochi.

[About Kamikochi]
Kamikochi is an area in Nagano Prefecture, in the southern part of the Chubu-Sangaku National Park, known for its spectacular mountain scenery. Kamikochi is a popular hiking and climbing spot, especially in summer. However, the trails are closed from mid-November to late April. Kamikochi is a plateau about 15 kilometers long in the Azusa Valley of the Hida Mountains, approximately 1,500 meters above sea level, and between the 3,190m Mt. Hodokadake and 2,455m Mt. Yakedake, which is an active volcano.
[About Yatsugatake Plateau area]
The Yatsugatake Mountains mark the border between Yamanashi Prefecture and Nagano Prefecture. Boasting clear highland air, majestic views, and rich history, this is an area worth spending several days in, no matter what season you’re visiting in.
At the southern foot of the Yatsugatake range lies the resort town of Kiyosato, popular for its old-fashioned charm, beautiful views, and delicious dairy. Another noteworthy destination is Kobuchizawa, a settlement with a long history of horse breeding, where ranches, stables, and horse clubs dot the landscape.
The Umenoki and Kinsei prehistorical archaeological sites and the Hokuto Archaeological Museum offer a look into the lives of Yamanashi’s earliest residents, while Daigahara Shuku, a “post town” along the Koshu Kaido route that historically joined the capital of Edo with Shinano Province (present-day Nagano) via Kai Province (present-day Yamanashi), makes for a trip back into the time of the samurai.
