This is a classic Western Trails-style desert expedition—remote, scenic, and deeply rewarding. KOFA isn’t just a place you drive through; it’s a place you move with. Rolling iron mountains, sandy washes, mining history, and night skies so dark they feel prehistoric.

FRIDAY | Arrival, Camp & Settle In
Rally Point:
Location: Love’s Gas Station, (760 S Quartzsite Ave, Quartzsite, AZ 85346)
Rally Time: 3:00 PM
Friday Night Camp Coordinates: 33.47573, -114.17176
We’ll meet up, fuel up, and roll out together. From the rally point, it’s roughly a 15-mile drive to camp. ETA to camp: ~4:00 PM
Friday Night Plan:
- · Easy drive in, set up camp, and unwind.
- · Campfire (Bring Firewood if possible)
- · Can’t make Friday?
- · No problem. You can meet us Saturday morning at camp (same coordinates above: 33.47573, -114.17176).

️ SATURDAY | Into the Heart of KOFA
⏰ Departure from Camp: 9:00 AM
Saturday is where the magic really starts. We’ll head deeper into KOFA, navigating a mix of graded dirt roads, desert washes, narrow trails, and mildly technical sections.
Saturday Night Camp:

Sunday continues the adventure with more history, wide-open terrain, and scenic routes as we make our way out.
We’ll gradually work our way toward pavement.
