About us
Want to become a better speaker, without memorising speeches or sitting through another presentation about presentation skills?
This group is about learning to think on your feet, speak with confidence, tell better stories and develop your sense of humour.
We use exercises and techniques from public speaking, improv and comedy to practise the moments that are hardest to prepare for: being put on the spot, answering unexpected questions, telling a story to a room, recovering when your mind goes blank, and keeping an audience engaged.
Expect practical, high-energy workshops where you'll spend more time actually speaking than listening to someone talk about speaking.
We'll work on things like:
• Thinking quickly and speaking spontaneously
• Becoming more confident in front of a group
• Storytelling and keeping an audience interested
• Using humour naturally
• Handling unexpected questions
• Getting comfortable making mistakes
• Developing presence and your own speaking style
This isn't a stand-up comedy class, and you don't need to be an improviser. It's also not about becoming a perfectly polished speaker.
It's about becoming someone who can get up, speak, adapt and connect with a room, even when you don't have a script.
Whether you want to get better at presentations, pitches, meetings, interviews, wedding speeches, storytelling, or simply expressing yourself in front of other people, you're welcome.
No public speaking, improv or comedy experience needed.
Come along, have a go, make some mistakes, have a laugh and get better at speaking by speaking.
