We'll meet at 08:15 at Pasing station and take the RB60 to Murnau, then switch to the RB63 (departs 09:42) to Bad Kohlgrub (arrive 09:58).
Coming by car? Park in Murnau and hop on the RB63 - the hike ends back in Murnau.
From Bad Kohlgrub we'll cross the Murnauer Moos - flat, open moorland with the Alps in front of us the whole way - and finish along the Staffelsee lakeshore for sunset.
There are two restaurants along the way for drinks and bathrooms, but no long meal stops - sitting down mid-hike kills the energy and we won't make it to the lake in time. Bring enough food and water for the whole day. We eat on the go. Sunset first, restaurant later - Murnau has plenty of options after the hike.
RSVP Expectations: Only sign up if you actually want to participate. If you signed up, show up. Cancel at least 24 hours in advance if plans change. Be on time. No-shows may be removed from the group. Passphrase: "Don't love your job, job your love."
The Deutschlandticket is valid on this route. If you don't have one, you'll need to purchase a valid train ticket yourself.
