Four Adventures of Reinette and Mirabelle (1987) @ PCC

Details
The brilliant Eric Rohmer season at the Prince Charles continues with Four Adventures of Reinette and Mirabelle (1987). Described as 'an overlooked feminist masterpiece' by critic Aimee Ferrier, this playful film was made during a break in filming of Rohmer's most famous film, The Green Ray (1986), and continues his streak in the 1980s in featuring strong, complex female protagonists.
SYNOPSIS
Two young girls meet, Reinette from the countryside and Mirabelle from Paris, and decide to take a flat together in Paris where they attend University. Four successive stories about their daily lives illustrate the very different views, characters and relation to the world of these two friends.
Currently there's a lot of room, but the upstairs screen often sells out fast, so it's important to book in advance! I'll be in Row D - we will be meeting outside the cinema around 15 minutes before showtime. See you there!
