Offers and Needs Market - July edition

We are hosting our second local Offers & Needs Market (OANM) on Thursday, July 24 630pm-830pm at Fountain Street Church at 24 Fountain Street NE.

The OANM is a two-hour, guided process in which community members meet to identify and exchange their passions, knowledge, skills, resources, opportunities, and needs. The process is proven to catalyze and deepen relationships. Through Offers and Needs Markets around the world, participants have found employment, connected with like-minded people, learned organizing strategies, and met an accountability buddy. The process is a proven way to boost self-esteem and trust, while dramatically increasing the sourcing of quality goods and services. When we share what we have to offer, we see our own value in a new light while making life easier for each other. The same counts for sharing what we need, with the opportunity to find a connection and solve practical problems of all kinds.

A typical OANM agenda is as follows:
- Introduction, Why Offers and Needs?
- Guided offers market in groups of 6-8 people, includes time for self reflection and connecting with others
- 5 minute break
- Guided needs market in groups of 6-8 people, similar structure to offers market
- Guided combined offers and needs market in different small groups
- Closing, group reflections and feedback survey
