Open Fly Drone Meetup -- Civic Center Playfield, Edmonds WA -- Come fly!

As always, this Meetup is open to everyone! Whether you're brand new or bringing 10 years and $10,000 worth of gear to the table, come say hi, meet some new friends, fly with us - and most importantly share in the fun!!!

The Civic Center Playfield in Edmonds has lots to see! There's a skatepark, fields for sports, gardens, and a view of downtown and the beach / port! (At least once you're in the air)
We will need to be a bit careful of other civilians as this is a popular park, but we should be able to find some space to fly! We will ask that you are EXTRA vigilant about flying around and near people at this event though.

As always, there are also some basic rules and etiquette we do ALL need to follow, so we're listing these below:

Follow all local, state, and federal regulations - Under 400ft, LAANC as required, etc
Do not fly over people
Do not fly over vehicles
Keep a minimum distance of 10ft from people and property
Respect others - This means the public AND our Meetup members, including their property! We aren't here to break each others stuff, or the publics confidence in drones and their pilots... So please use common sense and be respectful.

Safety is priority #1! If ANYONE sees ANYTHING dangerous, even if you're not sure, call it out! We would rather have 100 false alarms, instead of 1 accident that could have been prevented but wasn't due to someone being unsure!

For FPV Specifically:
Check Band and Channel with other FPV pilots BEFORE power-on
Respect others - Yes, we're saying it again! FPV is typically rowdier than cinematography drones (It's just part of the territory), so it's worth saying twice! This just isn't the place for guerilla flying, so please pay extra respect to civilians, vehicles, and other pilots and their aircraft.

By keeping to these rules we can keep these events safe and fun for everyone, as well as making sure they don't get shut down, so thank you so much for adhering to them! Now let's go have some fun!
