We’re a board game café based in Gothenburg, Sweden, with a great selection of drinks, sandwiches, fika, snacks, and tabletop games. To access our games, we have a 55 kr entry fee, which includes a complimentary snack. We also offer food and drink combo options without entry fee. In addition to open board gaming, we host special events such as chess meetups, quiz nights, and tournaments—there’s always something exciting happening!
Ground Rules
- ☕ No Outside Food & Drink Allowed (except water): Your purchases of our food and drinks directly support our business and keep us open!
- 👶 Age Policy: Ages 12 & Up Only. This is for the safety of young children (sharp table corners, choking hazards, etc.) and to maintain a calm, focused atmosphere for those who are playing complex games. However, we may make exceptions for well-behaved younger children (typically ages 10 - 11) who love board games and can remain calm throughout their stay.
- 🐶 No Pets Allowed: This is due to potential customer allergies. However, we may make exceptions for certified service animals.

Chess Tournament: King's Gambit (open to all levels)

We're back with our 1st chess tournament of the year!
Offline Café is hosting a friendly chess tournament, open to players of all skill levels, from beginners to upper intermediates and grandmasters. The format will be 10 mins + 5 secs per move.
IMPORTANT:
1) The event will start at 17:30, so please arrive between 17:00 and 17:25 so we have time to check everyone in and explain the tournament rules!2) If you RSVP but later can't make it, please update your attendance at least 24 hours in advance! We need to know who we're waiting for so we can start on time.
3) In case we get a lot of participants, we may ask you to install a chess clock app on your phone before the event in case we run out of our own clocks.
There will be short breaks between rounds so everyone can relax, grab something to eat or drink, and reset before the next game. Our menu consists of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, fika, and snacks.
Prizes:
