Chess Tournament: King's Gambit (open to all levels)

We're back with our 1st chess tournament of the year!

Offline Café is hosting a friendly chess tournament, open to players of all skill levels, from beginners to upper intermediates and grandmasters. The format will be 10 mins + 5 secs per move.

IMPORTANT:
1) The event will start at 17:30, so please arrive between 17:00 and 17:25 so we have time to check everyone in and explain the tournament rules!

2) If you RSVP but later can't make it, please update your attendance at least 24 hours in advance! We need to know who we're waiting for so we can start on time.

3) In case we get a lot of participants, we may ask you to install a chess clock app on your phone before the event in case we run out of our own clocks.

There will be short breaks between rounds so everyone can relax, grab something to eat or drink, and reset before the next game. Our menu consists of hot and cold drinks, sandwiches, fika, and snacks.

Prizes:
🏅 Medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place (and a small complimentary prize for all players)
🏆 1st place will also be added to our café’s Hall of Fame
