Hi everyone,

As many of you know, we’ve been running a GoFundMe campaign this summer to help Offline Cafe get through the summer slowdown.

Our original goal was 50,000 kr—a very ambitious target, but it was what we estimated we’d need to comfortably get through the summer. If we reached that goal, we planned to give the community one week of free board gaming as a thank you.

We didn’t come close to that goal, but we did raise 8,400 kr, and we’re genuinely grateful to everyone who donated. On top of that, many of you came by for board gaming, attended our events, shared our posts, or recommended us to friends. We’ve also started building partnerships with local businesses and associations, and we’re beginning to receive more private event inquiries. Those things take time to grow, but we’re excited about where they’re could lead.

Because of all the support we’ve received, we still wanted to give something back. Instead of a full week of free board gaming, we’ll be hosting a Free Board Gaming Day on September 5, which also happens to be our one-year anniversary. There’ll be no board gaming entry fee that day, so we hope you’ll come celebrate with us.

Our fundraiser will stay open throughout August before closing in September. If you’ve enjoyed spending time at Offline Cafe, met new people through one of our events, or simply want to help us continue building this community, we’d really appreciate your support.

Every donation, even something as small as 20 kr, genuinely makes a difference. It helps us cover our day-to-day costs, add new games to the collection, and continue growing the café as we head into autumn.

Offline Cafe has always been about creating an affordable place where people can unplug, meet others, and enjoy board games together. We’re still just a two-person team doing everything ourselves, and we’re constantly trying new ideas, organizing new events, and finding ways to make the café better.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far, whether that’s through a donation, a visit, sharing our posts, or simply telling someone about us. We appreciate it more than you know, and we hope to see you at the café soon.
