The Wave Pogonip Hike from Gateway Shopping Center

Elevation gain: About 600 feet.

Trail condition: Well-maintained trails.

Hike duration: About 3 hours.

Description: Let's meet at Gateway Plaza. From there we'll walk the levee to the Tannery. We'll cross Highway 9 to Golf Club Drive and into Pogonip.

We'll hike the Pogonip Creek Trail, to the Lookout Trail, to the Spring Trail, where we will wave goodbye to the tourists that have been overcrowding our roads, trails and beaches this summer, to the Quarry, to the Lime Kiln Trail, to the Fern Trail, to the Club House, then back to Golf Club Drive, then back to Gateway Plaza via the levee.
