Explore the Old Woman Creek

Join us for an adventure to explore Old Woman Creek, one of Ohio's finest natural estuaries. Last summer, I had the incredible experience of spotting bald eagles along the creek, and I'm hoping to see the beautiful water lily flowers in bloom this year.

Let's enjoy the serene beauty and unique wildlife together!

Meet at 8:30 AM and launch by 9:00 AM.

We expect to kayak about 5 miles, and will take our time to explore the area.

Pack plenty of water.

Please note that I’m just a co-participant in this event and not a guide or expert. I’ve been kayaking regularly since 2021, but I have no special training in areas such as organization, medical, navigation, or rescue. This is a weather-dependent meet-up, and participants assume 100% risk for attending.

If you sign up and cannot come, please let me know. Do not ghost. You are officially on the trip if you RSVP on Meetup and meet me at the parking lot. Otherwise, you should plan your own activity until you make physical contact with me and I recognize you as a co-participant.
