Paddle the Huron River

Join us for a peaceful paddle on the beautiful Huron River!

Arrival Time: Please plan to arrive by 8:00 AM, or earlier depending on how much time you need to prepare.

We’ll explore the serene, flat waters upstream, perfect for a relaxing paddle. Keep an eye out for wildlife — we’ve spotted bald eagles and a variety of bird species on every trip so far. Don’t miss this chance to enjoy nature and unwind on the water!

Sea kayak is strongly recommended for speed and distance.

Pack plenty of water.

Please note that I’m just a co-participant in this event and not a guide or expert. I’ve been kayaking regularly since 2021, but I have no special training in areas such as organization, medical, navigation, or rescue. This is a weather-dependent meet-up, and participants assume 100% risk for attending.

If you sign up and cannot come, please let me know. Do not ghost. You are officially on the trip if you RSVP on Meetup and meet me at the parking lot. Otherwise, you should plan your own activity until you make physical contact with me and I recognize you as a co-participant.
