BERLIN RESERVOIR - 10 Mile Club (14+ foot kayaks)

Details
Berlin Reservoir, or Berlin Lake, in Northeast Ohio, spans 3,590 acres with approximately 70 miles of scenic shoreline, making it a prime spot for kayaking enthusiasts. Local groups like Ohio Kayak Adventures (OKA) often host group paddles on the reservoir, exploring its tranquil coves and wooded edges. These events emphasize safety and community, offering a chance to paddle through calm waters ideal for practicing sea kayaking techniques, even if the lake lacks open-water challenges.
Kayakers can enjoy wildlife sightings and peaceful views along the extensive shoreline.
We will launch at 9:30 AM, so be arrive early to setup. PFD's must be worn at all times & kayak lengths of 14 foot plus only ... to ensure group speed & congruency. Pace of 3.50/hour approx. Please bring appropriate water, snack and sunscreen.
Since lake shoreline is so long (70 miles), we might visit here again throughout the year from different launch areas. This paddle will be 10-mile minimum ... perhaps up to 15 miles max.
