Lotus Flower Kayaking Adventure on the Huron River!

We’ll kayak and tour the lotus flowers at the Huoron River!

We plan to paddle long stretches of calm, flat, and vast waters upstream to see the beautiful lotus flowers. On past trips, we've sighted bald eagles and many other species of birds.

Time:
Meet at 5:00 PM – Launch at 5:30 PM
Please arrive early to allow time for unloading and getting ready.

Recommendations:

• Sea kayak strongly recommended for stability and efficiency
• Pack plenty of water
• Bring snacks, sun protection, and any personal essentials
• If you need to rent a kayak, Lake Erie Adventure Co. offers rentals and is located about 400 feet upstream from the group’s boat launch ramp:

This is a casual meet-up. I’m a fellow paddler—not a guide or certified rescue expert. While I’ve been kayaking regularly since 2021, I don’t have formal training in rescue, navigation, or first aid. This event is weather-dependent. By joining, you assume full responsibility for your own safety.
