West Branch Reservoir, located in Portage County, Ohio, is a large man-made lake covering about 2,350 acres with over 40 miles of shoreline. It’s popular for boating, fishing, camping, and hiking, and is part of West Branch State Park. The reservoir also serves as a water supply and flood control area for nearby communities (Mahoning River).
Here's the opportunity to have an adventure on West Branch. It's going to be a beautiful fall day, so let's get outside and explore! (Our goal is approx 10-12 miles ...)
We will launch at 1:00 PM, so be arrive early to setup. PFD's must be worn at all times & kayak lengths of 14 foot plus only ... to ensure group speed & congruency. Pace of 3.50/hour approx. Please bring appropriate water, snack and sunscreen.
