KAYAK DEMO DAY @ Springfield Lake (Akron area)

Did you ever wonder what it might be like to paddle someone else's kayak? Well, here's your chance! We will be meeting at Springfield Lake which has a wonderful boat ramp area, along with proper facilities for restrooms, parking, etc...
We'll meet at boat ramp & grassy area nearby. Please bring your kayak(s) & paddles for others to try out. I'm hoping to see recreational kayaks, fishing/angler kayaks, sit-inside & sit-on-top kayaks, whitewater kayaks, sea/touring kayaks... If you don't have a kayak yet, that's great! Come anyway. Here's a great opportunity to determine what kind of boat you might want to buy. You'll also have the chance to ask questions & also try different types of paddles, PFD's, and other gear. Who knows, you might even find someone willing to swap or sell their extra kayak/gear(?)
This event should not only be educational (especially for beginner kayakers), but also a chance to connect with OKA paddlers & enjoy time on the water/beach. Bring a friend or guest if you wish.
With OKA members, we have many kayak sizes, shapes, skill-levels to choose from!
Finally at 4 PM, we'll close things up & load our kayaks/gear. Social time, for those interested, will be at Hoppin Frog Brewery or Uncle Tito's mexican restaurant (both nearby).
