6:00PM EDT: Updates and announcements, followed by Kendra's talk.

Kendra's session will help you understand how to find and interpret deadlock graphs, as well as address them. This session is applicable for anyone that has to support SQL Server (DBAs, developers, application admin, etc.). Please review the abstract below for more details.

We hope to see you there!

*Please note, we will be using Microsoft Teams for this month's meeting. You may want to join a few minutes early to ensure you do not have any issues.

Session Abstract:
Deadlocks strike fear in the hearts of even experienced database administrators. In this session we will walk through an example deadlock and show how to find and interpret the deadlock graph to understand what is happening. We will examine, rate, and test ways to defuse the deadlock. You'll leave the session with an understanding of the questions to ask and avenues to explore the next time you're hit by a deadlock.
