These evening courses will focus on capturing expressions and personalities using vivid colour and light. You will be guided in a small, friendly group ensuring plenty of one-to-one tuition. I will take you through a step-by-step process of creating a likeness and exploring the application of paint. I will also be demonstrating at the start of most evenings to show methods in person.
By the end of the 6 weeks, participants will feel confident in using oil paint to mix skin tones, be able to start and resolve a portrait using the alla prima/‘wet on wet’ method and through this create depth of colour and likeness of their subject.
