Leveling Up: Game Development Talks
Accelerate Okanagan, 1405 St. Paul Street, Kelowna, BC, CAWhether you're a solo game creator, a studio startup, or just curious about how games are made, this event is for you. You’ll hear about real-world workflows, indie studio life, funding tips, pitching strategies, narrative design, production pipelines, and more—straight from people who’ve been there.
Each evening is structured to spark ideas, share tools, and support your development journey:
- 6:30–7:30 PM — Social hour to meet the community
- 7:30–8:30 PM — Industry talk, panel, or hands-on seminar
- 8:30–9:00 PM — Open Q&A with the speaker(s)
About OGDA
The Okanagan Game Developers Association is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting a thriving game development ecosystem across the region. We offer free events like game jams, playtest nights, workshops, and developer meetups to help local creators connect and grow.

Every second Thursday we focus on a new game in development to playtest, discuss and share feedback. Come and see the latest and greatest your fellow Game devs have in store.
The Okanagan Game Developers’ Association (OGDA) is dedicated to growing a thriving gaming industry in the Okanagan Region. Kelowna is home to a wide community of talented game developers, coming from careers at studios like EA, Blizzard, Disney, Bioware and more, as well as hosting institutes like the University of British Columbia - Okanagan (UBCO), and Okanagan College (OC). We are seeking to connect these passionate people together, as well as provide valuable resources and events to help foster development, career advancement, community, and advocate for the interests of game developers.

Our initiatives are designed to connect game creators with industry professionals, investors, publishers, academic institutions, and government bodies. We provide regular meetups to connect you to the community, as well as workshops, Game Jams, playtesting and feedback sessions, and fireside chats and seminars with top industry veterans.
