Be a STEM Hero: Volunteer at OKBEST Robotics 2024 and Inspire Oklahoma's Future Innovators!
Do you have a passion for STEM and a desire to inspire the next generation of innovators? OKBEST (Oklahoma BEST Robotics) invites you to be a vital part of our exciting 2025 STEM outreach program! Since 1998, we've been igniting a love for science, technology, engineering, and math in Oklahoma students. We challenge middle and high school teams from across the state to design, build, and program robots, then unleash their creations in a thrilling game-style competition. This year, teams stretch from Coalgate in the south to Perry in the north, and we need your help to make it a success!
Why OKBEST Matters:
OKBEST is more than just a robot competition. We level the playing field by providing free robot building kits and eliminating entry fees, ensuring every student has the opportunity to explore STEM, regardless of their school's resources. We believe in supporting our amazing STEM teachers/coaches, allowing them to focus on inspiring students without the burden of fundraising thousands of dollars. The challenge and the experience are real! Your involvement helps us provide free STEM education to students across Oklahoma, inspiring future engineers and innovators.
We Need Your Help!
We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with our big final event - Game Day , taking place on 8 November 2025. We have flexible options to fit your schedule and interests:
Referees: Ensure fair play and adherence to the competition rules during the robot game (training provided).
Judges: Evaluate team presentations and robot designs based on specific criteria (rubrics provided). Ideal for those with STEM backgrounds.
Field Support Personnel: Assist with event logistics, team support, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all.
