Rainer Sigwald - Setting up a new repo in 2022
Details
Join Rainer, Microsoft .NET Dev Tools engineer, for this latest talk on his steps for starting a new Project/Repo!!
---
Most of the time we’re working on an existing codebase, and have to consider migration cost to use the shiniest, newest technology. But what if you’re free from those constraints?
I recently set up a brand new repo for a .NET codebase, and I’ll walk through the tools and configuration I set up:
- Hosting on GitHub
- PR checks through GitHub Actions
- Official builds using Azure DevOps
- Test reporting
- New .NET features
We’ll have time to discuss alternatives and opinions as well!
