What is - "A Code"

Casual conversation and colloquialisms are fine and dandy. But what happens when we need to get down to brass tacks and do some Engineering? Put down your pencils and turn in your papers. It's time to get serious. Let's start from the beginning and work our way up gradually.

Let's all speak the same language! Do you write code? Do you call yourself a Coder? Programmer? Sr. Software Master Craftsman Elite? Hobbyist Novice Brain Surgeon? Is a Seat a Chair?

In this talk I am going to sit on as many things as possible to set the standard for what a Guild Member means when they say, "I am a Software Engineer".
