Better Unit Testing

Every Java developer should know that unit testing is a good practice. Hopefully, unit testing is something that we all do in our projects. Unit testing has many benefits, primarily to prove that our code does what it is supposed to do. However, if not done well, unit tests can turn out to be more of a burden than a benefit. In this session, we will go over some best practices with the hope that our future unit tests will be less of a problem and more of a solution.

Frank Moore is a software developer born and raised in Oklahoma. He graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and has been a professional software engineer since 2006. He spent the first 8 years of his career working in the Oil and Gas industry and, since 2014, has been working for Oracle NetSuite. Over the years, Frank has gained experience with many languages and frameworks including Java, ReactJS, C#, ASP.NET, jQuery, and Elixir. In his spare time, Frank enjoys playing video games, reading books, assembling puzzles, and being a husband and father.
