Tool Talks 🛠️

Details
This month, we are bringing back Tool Talks 🛠️! Join us for a free Tuesday lunch at Clevyr in OKC while listening to some awesome local speakers share the tech tools they use that keep them productive. All skill levels are welcome; these talks are especially great to listen to for those newer to coding and/or our community.
What are Tool Talks? They’re somewhat similar to Lightning Talks in that they are short, but they focus on sharing and/or demoing a tool that you use that is helpful. It could be a VS Code plugin, a command line tool, a graphical application, a new package from your favorite programming language - anything like that! As far as talk criteria goes, we’re aiming for:
- 5 minute time limit (that’s shorter than lightning talks)
- No slides. Just a short demo of what the tool is and why you like it
We are all full on speaker slots! Here's our current lineup:
- Simple Slides - Aaron Krauss
- Misty Durham - Mastering MS Teams for Project Management
- Processing JSON with jq - Nick Lindley
- Storybook - Lucas Maul
- Devbox - Lance Stephens
- Git / Github - Ross Clettenburg
Interested in speaking at a future event? Hit up either Aaron Krauss (@thecodeboss) or Stephen Vincent (@Vincent) in the Techlahoma slack. Not a part of slack? Send yourself a free invite at https://slack.techlahoma.org. Short talks like these are a great opportunity for first-time speakers to step out of your comfort zone and get up on the stage. If that's you, then we'd love to have you, and we'll work with you every step of the way to make sure you feel comfortable and ready to give your talk.
This meetup is in-person at Clevyr (where the food, drinks, and parking are always free), and will also be streamed live on Techlahoma's Twitch channel at https://twitch.tv/techlahoma.
