Annual Theremin-Playing Day at Oklahoma Science Museum

Details

For the sixth consecutive year, the Oklahoma Theremin Society is presenting a number of theremins on display and ready for you or your children to try out at Science Museum Oklahoma. Other musical instruments are present for you or your youngster to experiment with. This instrument, invented 100 years ago by Russian Scientist Leon Theremin, remains popular as a soloist, in popular bands, and in classical music. Musical background, or no musical training, the enjoyment is all yours. As a number of performers have discovered, your fingers create a melody without even touching the instrument! View various models, try one, or take a seat to watch others experiment with it! Helpful folks to guide, an interesting lighted display for young ones, along with the definitive movie depicting the history of the theremin--all await you! There is no charge on this special day!
