Planning VTC for the Via Francigena
Details
Still in the brain-storming phase, but was thinking about the first week of April 2026 or mid-September (depending on family schedule). Here is a link to a guide book to this particular section of the Francigena: https://www.cicerone.co.uk/walking-the-via-francigena-pilgrim-route-part-3?refer=eavf
Amazon will send you a free sample of the Kindle version of the guide.
This will be a one hour planning session to discuss the logistics of this beautiful leg of the Via Francigena, from Lucca to Rome, about 419 kilometers.
Please do not sign up unless you are willing to participate in the planning of this trip. As a first blush, we will probably fly into Rome and from there to Pisa. We will likely take a train to Lucca. Given jet lag and the beauty of Lucca, we will likely spend the night and a full day there.
My plan is to spend an additional 5-7 days in Rome once we get there, this is of course optional.
We will use Microsoft Teams for the meeting. Login information for the meeting will be sent to meeting participants later. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
