old curmudgeons

This old curmudgeon, me, wishes to send a very overdue welcome to all who found the name interesting enough to join. From the description on-line you will note it says something to the effect that any member is encouraged to propose an event to the group.
I am thinking, and hoping, to propose small (4 to 12 members) group meetings at my house, and/or a local library, and/or Clay senior center. (I need a place with no background noise as my old ears and old brain have much trouble comprehending speech when any background sound is present. This is when I have hearing aids in; without them the universe is quite). These would be meet & greet (each other) meetings where actual events can be discussed and planned.
Since this is the OLD curmudgeons group, any hikes will be relatively short and smooth. Unless, of course, if some curmudgeons wish long, rough hikes...
