The group name says it all-I'm looking to build a group of women who had children later in life (35+)
Because of covid, I feel that my son really missed out on interacting with other children his age. My friend group was tight and I didn't feel comfortable branching out, so his world consisted of my small family and some of my very close friends, who are older than I am.
He saw children from afar, at the playgrounds and parks around Rochester. I felt so sad as he'd watch kids running around playing, especially when they had a sibling or friend to share in on the fun. I was also feeling a little sorry for myself; I didn't have anyone to play with either!!!!!! I wanted another mother and child who would be our partners in crime, I MEAN FUN!!!
If you are searching for the same thing, a community of mothers navigating old age and new parenthood, PLEASE JOIN!!! I'm totally joking, I don't consider myself old in the least, and neither are you! I'm sure I've offended someone, not my intention, but inevitable.
We'll get together for knitting circles and tea and crumpets. Ok, no, that's not true either, but I do like all of those things. I'd like to start out with a simple meet and greet at one of our many local parks. Then maybe on to a blueberry picking outing, or the like. Who knows what the future will hold. Hopefully new friends and great adventures. I can't wait to meet all of you.
