# Photo Organizing Meetup: Let’s Just Start Somewhere — Sorting Photos, Discussing Ideas for Preservation, Working on Albums and Scrapbooks

I'm so excited to have our workshop at TWO SUNS ART STUDIO! Such an inspirational space with lots of room to spread out.
This is YOUR DEDICATED TIME to START working on your photo projects or to just keep the momentum going on your current photo organization project.

## What to Bring to Work On

One small project such as:
• Shoebox to larger box of photos you haven't gotten through for years!
• Scrapbook or Albums
• Stack or envelope of prints
• Inherited photo collection
• A memory project you’re ready to begin
No need to bring everything—just something you want to start with.

Some ideas for what you might enjoy working on:
📸 sorting photos into simple groups
✏️ writing names, dates, places, or memories on the backs of photos
📖 carefully removing photos from sticky albums
🗂 organizing, releasing extras, or creating simple categories for albums, scanning, or future projects
👶Scrapbooks, unfinished baby, wedding, vacation albums
🎞️View negatives and slides with workshop's light box

Work at your own pace—sorting, organizing, or simply beginning.
Some people work quietly. Bring your headphones if you like to listen to music or audible while working. Some ask questions or share stories.
We share ideas and take home inspiration. There is no pressure to finish—only space to start and keep going.

Light guidance available if you need help getting unstuck.

## Workshop Supplies Available for Your Use:

LIGHTBOX FOR VIEWING SLIDES AND NEGATIVES. MAGNIFYING GLASS TO VIEW SMALL PHOTOS.
PAINTERS PALETTE TO LIFT PHOTOS OFF OF STICKY ALBUMS. PHOTO SAFE PENCILS FOR WRITING ON BACK OF PHOTOS. ZIPLOC BAGS AND INDEX CARDS TO HELP WITH SORTING.

$8 to help cover studio space fees and secure your spot. HUGE thank you in advance!
Payment through Meetup using PayPal or debit/credit card secures your spot. We have noticed an additional processing fee ($1.55) when using a debit or credit card. If you have a PayPal account, you may wish to use it to avoid any extra charges.
