The Book of Proverbs

Details
"Boast not thyself of tomorrow,
for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth,
Let another man praise thee,
and not thine own mouth;
a stranger, and not thine own lips"
This month we continue our very, very slow progress through the books of the Bible with Proverbs, a work that is as old-school as it gets and one with obvious applications to the improvement of the self. Pick any chapter at random, and you will find a gem:
"Happy is the man that findeth wisdom,
and the man that getteth understanding.
For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver,
and the gain thereof than fine gold." (Chapter 3)
"For a just man falleth seven times,
and riseth up again,
but the wicked shall fall into mischief" (Chapter 24)
"He that answereth a matter before he heareth it,
it is folly and shame unto him." (Chapter 18)
I won't supply a link this time as I'm sure you can all find a bible, but as before when we read Ecclesiastes, I will be reading the King James Version and recommend you do the same. We will meet as always at Vino's on Los Olas, and apply ourselves to sharpening each other's wits, as "iron sharpeneth iron". See you there!
