Practice+Learn for Old Time (or Crossover) Fiddlers

A fiddles-only tunes+technique session!

Practice with me for more effective – and fun – tune practice.

I teach new tunes by breaking them down into phrases, highlighting melodic patterns and "anchor notes" in the tune that help you grasp it more quickly. We'll practice the trickier parts together on repeat, and as appropriate I will discuss bowing patterns, variations, drones, double stops, and technique.

This is an all-levels session. If there's a need and enough interest, I will split the group into slower and faster sessions for future events.

How it works: Everyone's mic is muted (but mine). You play along with me and hear only yourself and me. If you have questions, you can unmute yourself!

We meet 1st and 3rd Mondays (and some Sundays) 7:15–8:30 p.m. on Zoom (RSVP for the link).
