# The What: Prairie Appreciation Day at Glacial Heritage

The Thurston County Glacial Heritage Preserve is on the traditional lands of the Coast Salish people, whose ancestors managed and tended here since time immemorial.

Date: May 9th

Time: 9:45am to 2:30pm. The gate will open at 10:00 and close for new visitors at 2:00, allowing everyone to go through the Activity Stations before they shut down at 3:00. Plan to arrive by 9:45am, so we can be ready to explore when the gates open at 10am.
