Details
weather permitting-gale winds and rough seas will cancel this event
This is an all day event in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
Expect to walk about 6 miles round-trip.
We meet at 745am at the Black Ball Ferry in Port Angeles for the 820am sailing. The trip is 90 minutes and you must bring your Enhanced WA Driver's License or a valid Passport. Purchase your round-trip Ferry tickets online or in person for $45. The tickets are good for one year, so you may want to pick up extra, single round-trip tickets for future use.
We must all disembark and go through Canadian Customs together.
Once we all clear customs, we will pass the Parliament Building, walk through the downtown area, and go about 2 miles up Rockland Ave to The Government House, the official residence of the Lieutenant Governor and the ceremonial home of all British Columbians. We will not be able to enter the building, but we will walk the 20 gardens around the estate.
The Cary Castle Mews, Costume Museum and Rudi's Tea House are all open Tues-Fri 10am to 3pm. Rudi's Tea House has a limited menu.
