Glines Canyon Spillway via Whisky Bend, Elwha River

This is a 6 mile roundtrip, out and back hike with about 400 feet of elevation gain and loss at the Elwha River.
We will park at the Madison Falls Trailhead on Olympic Hot Springs Rd. No parking pass required even though we will be within Olympic National Park boundaries.
We will walk the decommissioned road for about .5 miles to the washout. We then hike the .8 mile dirt bypass trail until we rejoin the old road. We will turn left just past the old Ranger Station and walk uphill on Whisky Bend Road. After another mile or so, we will come to the overlook on the east side of the Elwha River. The views are amazing from here. We will have a snack break and then return the same way.
