This is a roughly 3 mile round-trip walk with less than 100 feet elevation gain/loss.This time we will start from the parking lot just inside the Salt Creek Recreation Area Campground and walk down to the water to explore the tidepools. Wear
sturdy shoes with a good grip.
Low tide is -1.5 feet at 1215pm. We will go down the stairs at Tongue Point Marine Sanctuary, then back up the trail to the military batteries at the top. We can walk down to Crescent Beach, careful to stay on the east side of the creek. The west side of the beach is private but we can pay $8 per person at the private beach campground if we want to walk the half mile stretch of beach there.
Leashed dogs are allowed. Restrooms available in the campground. No parking pass needed.
