Hurricane Hill Trail, Olympic National Park
Details
Let's get one more hike at Hurricane Ridge before the road closes. Generally, the road is closed due to snow by mid-October. There's a chance of snow Saturday, but I don't know if it's enough to close the road yet.
This is a steep but short 3.2 mile round-trip walk on a paved trail with about 650 feet of elevation gain/loss.
We will start at the lower parking lot at the Hurricane Hill Trailhead, about 1.5 miles down from the main parking lot where the Lodge used to be.
The forecast is for full sun right now, so hopefully we will have clear views all around.
Voluntary carpooling meets at the Olympic National Park Visitor's Center at 12pm. All vehicles must have a National Park Pass, good for 4 passengers in each vehicle.
No dogs allowed.
