What we’re about

This is a group for people who are interested in experiencing the practice of OM chanting, as shared with the world by Paramahamsa Vishwananda, founder of Bhakti Marga. It is a powerful, simple, and ancient practice which helps to spiritually uplift and purify the individuals who participate, as well as their surroundings. It is also a way to send healing energy to others in need, and to our world as a whole in turbulent times.

How it works:

  • Names of loved ones in need of help or healing are written on paper and placed in a box in the center of the circle to be energized by the practice.
  • a group of at least 3 people will chant OM continuously for 45 minutes, seated in a certain circular formation which changes position every 15 minutes.
  • There will be a moment of silence afterwards, as well as an opportunity to share any reflections on your experience with the practice.

To know:

  • OM chanting is done in a spirit of service both toward others as well as oneself.
  • The Grace of the spiritual masters present in the practice (Mahavatar Babaji, Paramahamsa Vishwananda) will serve to spiritually uplift those who participate. This experience will be intimate and unique for each person, helping them to release unwanted negativity and move forward on their path.
  • This practice is meant to be experienced for oneself and is open to all. It is not necessary to have any certain belief, similar practice, or religious/spiritual affiliation. It is enough to come with an open heart, so long as you’re able and willing to sit and chant aloud for 45 minutes.
  • OM Chanting is one of the techniques of a complete yoga system called Atma Kriya Yoga.
