September 9th Music Jam!! (near 90th & Dodge)

Ready for fun?? Come play music with us, make new friends and have a blast in a supportive environment with Omaha Acoustic Music Community!! Please read COMPLETE detailed information below BEFORE you rsvp. All skill levels are welcome as long as you know how to play basic open chords. :) No pressure, no judgment....just tons of fun!

This group meets at various public locations including bar/restaurant rooms, libraries and other great spaces for music! The Sept 9th location will be at the W. Clarke Swanson Library at 9101 W Dodge Rd. We'll be in the large Meeting Room. Please park on the east side of the building and enter on that side through the lower entrance (no steps)! Easy access to carry your gear. Follow the hall and the large meeting room will be on your right.

We'll have a projector with lyrics and chords from UltimateGuitar.com, displayed on a large screen for all to see. If you'd like, you can also bring a few printouts of any songs to share.

Please be prepared with two or three songs of your choice, including the key, PRIOR to the jam. You can also feel free to pass. If you don't plan to sing and/or lead your songs, other members can do so and possibly choose a different key that suits them vocally. Guitar solos and riffs are also welcome!

If you haven't already done so, please provide a brief bio including a clear photo of yourself and a bit about your instrument(s) and type of music you enjoy. Singers welcome also! Small amps are allowed on low volume, if needed for the group to hear your instrument.

Feel free to bring light snacks and beverages for yourself or to share. Please note that alcoholic beverages are allowed EXCEPT at libraries.

IMPORTANT: No walk-ins. Jams will include up to 12 members. All attendees must be approved members. If you find that you're unable to come, even at the last minute, please be considerate to those on the waitlist, by changing your RSVP. Three no-shows will result in a 90-day ban from the group.
