Earth Day Omaha is made possible by the Green Omaha Coalition, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to inform and connect people across the Omaha metro to strengthen the local green community.

Earth Day Omaha is affiliated with Earth Day Network, the international organization coordinating Earth Day events worldwide.

The purpose of the annual Earth Day Omaha program committee, a committee within the Green Omaha Coalition, is to organize, direct and produce the city’s annual Earth Day event—providing a showcase for the many charitable, scientific and educational efforts advocating for sustainable environmental practices and lifestyles.
