AI is writing emails, generating code, and possibly hallucinating your resume. But beneath the hype, what is a “model” anyway and how does it actually work? This talk rips open the black box and takes a fast, no-BS look at what models really are (spoiler: it's just math), how they’re trained (more math), and why they’re suddenly running the Internet. Whether you're super technical or AI-curious, you’ll walk away what a clearer mental model of, well, models...understanding of what’s real, what’s magic, and what’s just prediction dressed up in buzzwords.
