Open source projects with fishy names: Rayhunter is an Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) project to detect the use of stingray devices by law enforcement. Jellyfin is a home media server for those looking to get away from Plex. Plex recently made changes that significantly degrade the offering without payment. While many people have lifetime accounts, the process of enshittification has been very well established and means services will continue to degrade as costs go up until it is no longer a useful service. I'll be going over migrating to the new open source alternative and talking about issues, benefits, and features.
