For May 2026:
"From Course Project to Production Tool: Building Security Intelligence with Claude Code"
This talk covers building SecIntel-AI, an open-source automated security intelligence platform, using Anthropic's Claude Code in the Terminal vis Windows Subsystem for Linux as a non-developer. Starting from a proof-of-concept introduced at a Wild West Hacking Fest 2025 course, the project evolved into a production tool that aggregates 23+ security news feeds, tracks security vendor updates from Microsoft Defender, Entra, Intune, and Sentinel, monitors other third-party security vendor releases, and follows AI provider changes — all summarized locally via LM Studio with IOC extraction (when applicable) and tiered reporting.
Topics include: practical AI-assisted development workflows, working with Claude Code in Windows Subsystem for Linux, subscription and model selection, securing AI tool access, what didn't work, and lessons learned from a first-time GitHub release. The talk also covers non-coding uses of Claude Code — home lab documentation, security SOPs, runbooks, and network planning — showing that the tool's value extends well beyond writing code. Includes a live demo.
Audience: Security professionals interested in leveraging AI for development, automation, and documentation, regardless of coding experience.
