Getting Familiar with the Use of Git and GitHub in RStudio
Abstract:
Collaborating on code development and tracking changes in the code across versions are daily issues for big teams. This session will equip you with the knowledge you need to make it easy to do so, as well as to contribute to various open-source projects and to make your work more publicly accessible by using Git and GitHub in RStudio.
Git is a version control system that lets you manage and keep track of your source code history. GitHub is a cloud-based hosting service that lets you manage Git repositories. If you have open-source projects that use Git, then GitHub is designed to help you better manage them.
