How long have you been folding?

I started folding 37 years ago when I took apart an origami crane a friend gave me. I recently started folding again after a hiatus of 20 years.

What is your favorite Model to fold?

Usually the latest model I've learned

What would you like to learn how to fold?

Dollar bill tetrahedron

Share with us a personal story about origami. (first time folding, what interested you in folding, etc)

I once gave a friend who was moving away a dollar bill shirt. She kept it in her wallet for years until one day she decided to take it apart and learn how to put it back together again. She proceeded to spend the next few years showing children how to make the dollar bill shirt. I like the idea of dollar folds because people tend to keep them in their wallets thus keeping you in their thoughts on a daily basis. I started folding again after a 20 year hiatus when I spied the dollar bill shirt and tie on YouTube. None of that existed when I started. I recall having to write to Japan to obtain instructions for certain models.

I was an early member of FOCA (about 30 years ago), have created a few models and have had a couple of origami art exhibitions. I also taught at a FOCA convention and traveled to the UK for an origami convention.
