Details

PREMISE: A heartbroken vampire’s reckless actions threaten to expose both the vampires and witches living among the oblivious mortals in a quiet seaside town. The two groups will have to work together to find him and ensure peace. Setting: A small Bavarian “beach” village. Modern day, although the vampires are from various times.
FORMAT: Sanguine is a PERAMBULATIONS experience i.e. the audience follows the action on foot

PRODUCTION ASSISTANT needed: No experience needed, must have a great attitude and take direction well; facility with tech a plus

ROLES
FEMALE

  • Valeria [18-35 cute] — witch/vampire: shallow, self-centered, bored with everything; rages because she has not yet found her interests or calling; works in a gift shop
  • Constance [18+] — witch: classic librarian type, perky, a bit nerdy; employed by the council

MALE

  • Adamante [40+] — vampire: formal, by the book, well-groomed, gentlemanly, kind; retired history teacher
  • Romero [18-35 handsome] — vampire: passionate, former opera tenor (Italian or Spanish)

MALE OR FEMALE

  • Zephyr [18+] — witch: hippy type who just wants to tend herbs & chill; does odd jobs
  • Ainsley [18+] — vampire: a bit whiny and one-dimensional, something of a prankster, gambles; various casino jobs working toward management

REHEARSALS

  • August 16 - September 25
  • Tuesday & Thursday: 6-8:30/9pm
  • Saturday or Sunday: 3.5 hours TBD (based on cast schedules)
  • Monday & Wednesday September 22 & 24, 6-9pm

SHOWTIMES at 7561 Old World Village #14, Huntington Beach. (General tickets $20)

  • Preview: Friday, September 26 at 7pm
  • Saturdays: September 27 - November 1 at 7pm

Requirements:

  • Must be adept at character-driven improv and engaging audience in conversation (in character)
  • Must be able to walk or get around freely
  • All cast and crew are volunteer (as is our arts philanthropy staff). Each member of the production receives 2 comp tickets for friends or family
  • Cast will be responsible for their own costume & props as agreed with director
  • Cast & crew commit to all 6 weeks of performance. There will be no understudies
