PLEASE READ FULLY BEFORE RESERVING!

Introduction: Join us on another fall classic tour through the beautiful Northwoods of Northeastern Wisconsin and Upper Michigan! A figure "8" route has been designed to maximize scenery and to offer two length tours; the full 12-day route, which starts in Green Bay, and a shorter 6-day route near Gladstone, Michigan. Highlights will be plenty, but especially the sights of Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, and historic stops along the way. Participants should be efficient, self-supportive, and comfortable riding 45-55 miles daily with rolling hill topography, and 55-65 miles per day with flat topography. Some gravel trails are to be expected, and participants should be flexible with adjustments to the route due to weather and road conditions.

Our extended fall tours will not leave you disappointed, and make sure to bring a good camera. We hope to see you there!

Skill level: Intermediate/Experienced. Having at least one multi-tour under your belt is highly recommended, but if you haven't, please feel free to reach out before ensuring this tour is for you. We will often not have a food source nearby for breakfast or dinner, so freeze-dried food with cooking equipment and the like is recommended.

Pace: Steady. I recommend we ride together, especially in remote areas.

Length: The full route is expected to be 12 days, 600 miles, with distances ranging between 40-60 miles ± per day.

Terrain: Mostly road, but some gravel/logging trails may occur pending the final route.

Final Notes: Riders must have signed a yearly liability form before the start. Helmets, lights, and proper nutrition/hydration are encouraged. Participants should be prepared to ride the entire route at their own pace. If you abandon the ride or drastically change from the intended course, you must inform the leader!

Due to being in black bear country, a bear canister is highly recommended, and may be required at the parks we stay! I plan to bring a large bear canister and may have extra room for nightly storage. Please reach out prior for availability. We also may not have potable water at every campsite, so a water filter is recommended.

We will decide to delay or cancel at least two hours prior if there is bad weather. We have two days of rest days/weather buffer built in, and another two days by taking the most direct route, for a four-day buffer. Please be courteous to organizers by RSVPing only if you intend on attending and keeping your RSVP current. I reserve the right to replace it with a similar event or cancel due to a lack of interest, current events, or trail/road conditions.

Suggested Yearly Donation: $10
