Details

Introduction: Celebrating our 10th season of guided tours, please join us for a challenging yet picturesque, no-drop ride that explores the countryside north of Middleton. We'll push off from the corner of Frank Lloyd Wright Avenue and Pheasant Branch Road near the southeast front entrance of Metro Market. Highlights along the route include, but are not limited to: a vista of the Pheasant Branch Conservatory and the Capitol building, Graber Pond and boardwalk, Marz Farmstead Ruins, Indian Lake County Park, and multiple farm valleys.

Near the start, we can meet up for a post-ride social at Craftman Table and Tap or other sit-down establishments. We hope to see you there!

Skill level: Intermediate

Intended Pace: Party Pace (12-14 mph ±). No drop.

Length: 28 and 34.5-mile options.

Terrain: The route will include a boardwalk, bicycle paths, and a mix of urban and countryside roads. Rolling to hilly terrain throughout, with one short and sweet climb after Indian Lake County Park. A few roads may have the effects of farm machinery, so lower pressure and/or wider road tires are suggested.

Parking Options:
Metro Market Parking Lot or nearby side street
6800 Century Ave, Middleton, WI 53562

Alternate parking at:
Parisi Park
2405 Park St, Middleton, WI 53562

Time: 9:00 a.m. arrive. 9:15 a.m. push off.

Post Ride Social: Craftman Table and Tap. Open to other nearby options that the group decides on.

Final Note: Riders must have signed an online yearly liability Waiver and Contact Form. Helmets, lights, proper nutrition, and hydration are all encouraged. A minimum of two 16 oz. bottles of water and two energy bars daily are good starting points. Participants should be prepared to ride the entire route at their own pace. Please inform the leader if you abandon the ride or deviate significantly from the intended course.

We will cancel at least two hours prior if there is bad weather. Please be courteous to the organizers by RSVPing only if you intend to attend and keep your RSVP up to date. This is for the small minority - most of you are great, repeated no-shows occupying valuable spots may result in your ban from the group. We reserve the right to replace it with a similar event or cancel due to a lack of interest, current events, or poor trail or road conditions.

Suggested Yearly Donation: $20
