TRAINING: How to find newsworthy images on social media (and not be duped)

Steve Myers, the editor of The Lens in New Orleans, will be coming to SLC to teach us more about how to find newsworthy images on social media (not the ones of sharks swimming in floodwaters).

A better understanding of why people share bogus images on social media
Techniques to find potentially newsworthy images on social media
A decisionmaking process to validate images, designed to eliminate guesswork and avoid embarrassing mistakes
