Pedaling and Picnic-ing

This is a 35-mile ride from north Durham to Hillsborough and back, mostly on peaceful country roads. The terrain is moderately hilly: about 1,400 total feet of climbing. The route is at [Google Maps] and [Ride With GPS]

The meeting point is at Riverside High School. Note that the campus and parking lot are also used by a church. I suggest that everyone park on the side of the parking lot closest to Rose of Sharon Road so as to minimize interference with Easter traffic.

Afterward, we'll head to Picnic on Cole Mill Road at the intersection of Rose of Sharon. Picnic has delicious hipster home-cooking, including deviled Easter eggs, and a good beer selection.

This is not a no-drop ride, so please be able to maintain at least a 14 mph pace.
